The first public version: draw on any webpage, pin comments to it, and send one link that anyone can open without installing anything or creating an account.
MarkLayer started from one complaint: feedback on a website is given on a
screenshot of the website, and a screenshot cannot be clicked, scrolled, or
pointed at precisely. Everything since has been an attempt to keep the feedback
on the live page.
New
Drawing tools. Pen, highlighter, shapes, arrows and text, on any live page rather than on a screenshot of one.
Threaded comments. Pin a comment anywhere on the page and reply to it in place.
Real-time collaboration. Everyone in a room sees each annotation as it is made, over a WebSocket connection.
Shareable links. The person opening your link needs no extension, no account and no email address.
PNG export. Save the annotated page as an image for the places a link will not go.
